Louie on the Sax 1978, When Russ and I were in a band called
"Tanglefoot" several years before Salvation, we recorded an album for Motown which consisted of originals written
by Russ and a couple by me. "Overnight success" made it's debut on this album. I
recounted this story in one of the newspaper articles done on us back in 1976 - Tanglefoot finished the album, but Motown
never released it, so we sued them for ten million dollars - Needless to say, we lost! Russ joined Salvation soon
after that (we may have been in another band together in between), and I went with several other bands until Salvation gave
me a call in 1975, and that was all she wrote. Those 4-5 years I spent with Salvation until the end are some of
the best memories I've had. I've played with Russ in at least 4 bands through the years - he's my favorite
keyboard player, and I can say the same for all the other Salvation members.
